Pastoral Ministry

First and most important I am a Baptist and hold to the doctrine of our faith.  I would be glad to share my experience and how I’ve come to a deeper strong hold to my convictions as being a Baptist because when it comes to SOUND DOCTRINE, It is critical to us as what is stated in 2 Timothy 4:1-5.

Being a servant of the Lord is more than just showing up on Sunday morning and speaking. It goes much deeper than that.  Serving the Lord means that you are available at all hours to serve His church and do the work that we are called to do to fulfill the great commission. Growing the body and making disciples should be at the top when it comes to serving Christ.  After all, Jesus tells us in His final words to "Go Tell".  With this being said a strong sense of evangelism and discipleship must be a focal point of ministry.  This brings us closer to the greater understanding of missions within the church.  Looking at the community and finding out the needs of those around us should help open the door to evangelism by meeting those needs.  Too often we overlook our neighbor thinking we have a bigger idea of what missions are.  When we do that we are overlooking truly the fact of "Who is our Brother".  The ones who are around us locally need to know Christ as much as anyone else and we as a body must realize this by remembering the mission field that is in our very own backyard.
